pauls

Medium red large-flowered climber. Registration name: Paul's Scarlet Climber.

Scarlet. None to mild fragrance. Average diameter 2.75". Medium, semi-double to double, cupped, in small clusters bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season.
Climbing, thornless (or almost) growth habit. Large foliage. Height of 10' to 20' (305 to 610 cm). Width of 8' to 10' . (245 to 305 cm).

Although over 90 years since its introduction this is a very striking rose, bright scarlet semi-double blooms displayed against glossy green foliage. This is a vigourous and repeat-flowering rose, perfect for training up fences, walls and trellis work. Ideal for growing along boundary fences to help keep intruders out of your garden. Once it gets a hold in the soil it is away and growing like mad, spreading as far and high as you let it.
